Land clearing &plantation works

Site preparation and planting works from a plantation contractor rooted in Pahang since 1985.

Land preparation is the foundation of a plantation.

Mistakes made at this stage — poor access, badly planned layouts, unstable slopes — follow a plantation for years.

Sri Walis has decades of land clearing and planting experience as a plantation contractor in Pahang. We work to keep improving our professional skills, so that contract works are delivered well and the land itself is protected from damage.

Our listed portfolio includes eight completed oil palm developments, totalling 3,373 hectares, and durian plantations on hillside terraces.

An industry overview of how plantation land is prepared. The exact scope Sri Walis delivers is agreed for each project.

Responsible land development.

Responsible development starts at planning: how slopes are terraced, how water drains, and what is retained.

On sloping land, terracing, drainage planning and ground cover are widely used to reduce erosion. We discuss the approach for each site at assessment stage. Our development principles:

  • ReduceUse only the clearing and inputs the plantation needs.
  • Minimise harmProtect soil and waterways during works.
  • Recover resourcesPut by-products and materials back to use where possible.
  • Protect ecologyPlan development that the land can sustain.
